so i'm sitting here listening to the new decemberists album (which is AMAZING by the way) and thinking about this insane summer. camp allyn was such a fantastic crazy super sweet funny fun frustrating insane time. our group of counselors really were great and could be counted on when they were needed. i just can't believe it's over ... 10 weeks of craziness and now i'm just back at my apartment with shit to do. the great thing is that i'm probably going to get a job at stepping stones (the main agency) doing year round programs. i'm so happy to actually have a job opportunity after this summer and it's with the same agency ... it'll be excellent to work there. i'll also probably do weekend respites at CA which will be awesome because i'll see all the campers :D man i am just so happy to have had such an amazing opportunity.

i miss mary and dontarius tho. they are so freakin' awesome. well i'll see dontarius this weekend and mary hopefully soon. southerners are crazy -- i gotta tell you !

so i go to this camp not knowing what to expect at all and i find something that has changed me for the rest of my life. i gotta say i feel like it was meant to be. i've met so many awesome people there who i feel like i've known all my life. not to mention the fact that i have to look after people who all sorts of bizzare disorders. the campers are fantastic (for the most part). the place is fantastic (tucked in the woods -- it is so beautiful just to walk around the campus and at night you can see the stars). the people i work with are fantastic. there are always going to be a few assholes but shit if i'm cool with 17 out of 20 of the staff that is a damn big achievement. it's like this staff was meant to be! oh i am just content in my life right now. the job is so damn HARD sometimes i just want to break down and cry but it all seems worth it. there are so many campers with super bright personalities that just make me laugh my ass off. of course there are some campers that make me want to cry because they were beaten into the way they are and the facilites they live in couldn't possibly watch them 24 hours a day. some of these people need constant supervision. fuck it's crazy and i don't even know what else to say about. what a hellavua summer dude.

I must say another night spent without Nate is making me grumpy. It's kind of rediculous how much you realize the importance of someone in your life when they're gone. Not that i didn't realize it before.. and its not like he's been gone forever .. but when i grow accustomed to seeing him everyday ... five days away is just five too many. In other news -- i wish i was going to NOLA with Jenna, she's gonna have a blast and reading Carly's journal updates are just making me quite jealous.

from an awesome boy i haven't talked to in a while.. he's going to south India in July and doesn't know when he'll be back -- its just so awesome that he is going to be learning all about the culture and music there. Anyway -- i miss him a lot ! I had a really weird dream last night in which i was getting married and was at the reception. The weird thing was that there were SO many people there that i used to be friends with in high school. It was actually really cool cause i got to hang out with Ryan and stuff. This is a lame post but i'm really glad its Friday. Hope this weekend is exciting!

well.......
nate has the flu. i think. but he has a temperature and is all achy and stuffy and feeling dizzy and it sucks. Not only does it suck because i love him and he's all feeling terrible, BUT i'm probably going to get the flu now too. AND i'm going to chicago this weekend to see jenna et. all. fuck. i really really hope that i don't come down with anything. In the meantime i will be spending this week getting lots of sleep, taking tons of vitamin C and drinking lotsa water. Wish me luck.
